Cedarbrook Farm

Small North Alabama farm devoted to producing quality miniature goats and bantam chickens

Our farm is home to a small friendly herd of miniature goats of various breeds and a happy flock of fancy & heritage chickens. We offer pet and show animals with good bloodlines, guaranteed healthy and well-socialized to approved homes.  All of our animals are raised with as few chemicals as possible. We love using herbs from our garden to supplement and enhance our own as well as our animal's diet.

The horrific tornadoes of April 2011 certainly were the "winds of change" for our little corner of the world. Not only did it make the entire footprint of our area look different, but it forced us to make a lot of tough decisions about the direction we wanted our farm to take. After losing all of the plants in our greenhouse we realized that we had the chance to start over with a clean slate, learning from the mistakes of the past few years and adding some components to the farm that we feel will enhance it to everyone's benefit...especially ours.

As much as we have loved our herbs and heirloom plants and finding new varieties around the globe to share with our clients, we no longer are physically able to maintain the greenhouse. We will always have herbs on the farm, and occasionally if we have extras, you may find us at a craft fair or farmer's market, but we will no longer have plants available to the public on a regular basis.

BUT….the farm is far from becoming non-productive. We'll be focusing more of our time and energy to the breeding programs for our miniature goats and bantam chickens. As soon as Clark gets settled into his new role as Professor Emeritus (retired) he is planning to devote a lot of time to designing and building unique but serviceable chicken coops and goat playhouses.

Once we get everything back in shape, we would love to have you visit (although not all at once, please!)
